Welcome to the IMCAC Auditor Registration Site Thank you for your interest in becoming an IMCAC-Registered Auditor. As you may already know, IMCAC is an independent, non-governmental organization, which rates the safety performance of each motor carrier, and publishes that rating for the benefit of the general public. Ratings are assigned under three distinctive categories, one of which is designated AUDITED. To receive this designation, the motor carrier must undergo an on-site audit by an IMCAC-Registered Auditor, or have been inspected by a Federal or State Inspector during the past three years. IMCAC-Registered Auditors are independent, third-party auditors who have met the minimum qualification requirements. They are not employees of IMCAC, nor do they receive any compensation from IMCAC. IMCAC-Registered Auditors may market their services directly to those motor carriers who seek to obtain the AUDITED designation on their IMCAC rating. IMCAC may also refer motor carriers to one, or several Registered Auditors. In all cases, however, the price of conducting the on-site audit is negotiated between the IMCAC-Registered Auditor and the motor carrier and is separate from IMCAC's application fee. IMCAC requires a fee of $300.00, which covers the cost of data verification, processing and administrative fees. For the AUDITED/Data VERIFIED designation, this fee must be submitted by either the carrier or the IMCAC-Registered Auditor on behalf of the motor carrier, along with the Data Verification Application Form and supporting documentation, and the Auditor's certification that the carrier has passed the audit.
IMCAC-Registered Auditor Minimum Qualification Requirements There is no fee associated with becoming an IMCAC-Registered Auditor. However, IMCAC requires that the Registered Auditor meet the following minimum qualifications and conditions:
