 IMCAC registers qualified, independent individuals and companies who
conduct on-site audits, to determine compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
Because there is currently no national certification for Transportation Safety Specialists
(TSS), IMCAC must rely on the auditors to provide details of their experience, in order to
determine whether they meet minimum qualifications established by IMCAC. The registered
Transportation Safety Specialists are not employees of IMCAC, and IMCAC accepts no
responsibility for the cost, quality, or results of the audit or other work performed by
the registered TSS. IMCAC assigns the AUDITED designation based on the TSS certification
that the carrier has passed the audit. IMCAC accepts carrier data from the TSS, with the
proper supporting documentation for verification.
